For some of our friends and family this may be a repeat of information. But for many of you, Theresa and I would like to inform you one of the biggest decisions that we will make in our lives. After years of trying to start a family of our own, we have chosen to adopt! We are very excited at this next step in building our family.
We have chosen Ethiopia as the destination for our adoption journey. There were many reasons why we chose Ethiopia, although a lot of it just felt right. Each time we looked at a different countries program, something eventually steered us back to Ethiopia. Part of it may have been that a co-worker had just adopted two boys (Ryan-4 and Matthew-10 months) and we were able to learn so much about the program, country and fall in love with his children.
We are completing our home study over the next month and hope to be officially entered in the program in January. Stop back here often for updates and to hear how we are handling the roller-coaster that is adoption.
