Well, Theresa and I went to the travel clinic at MeritCare this morning for immunizations in advance of our trip to Ethiopia. Lets just say that we knew we were in trouble when it was scheduled for 1.5 hours.
We ended up each getting 6 (six) boosters/immunizations. Everthing from the typical tetanus to polio to Hepatitis (A&B) to Typhoid. I guess you could say that we are pretty much covered to travel anywhere now!
We need to go back in a month for a second shot for our Hep B shot.
In case you are interested, below are the shots that we received and how long they are good for:
Hep A series - Life
Hep B series - Life
Influenza - Yearly
Meningitis - 5 years
Polio booster - Life
Tetanus - 10 years
Typhoid - 2 years
You can safely say that both of us will have very sore arms for the next couple of days.
