Our garage sale went off without a hitch. We had a beautifully day and a steady crowd. We managed to make $385. WOO HOO! Dave's work should hopefully match it which means we will be able to donate around $770 to UNICEF (Horn of Africa). We are very pleased with the results. A big thank you goes to Kai, Gina, and Kristy who partnered with me for this sale. A special thanks to Kristy who volunteered to host the sale. Thank you ladies!

We have a climber...
on our hands. Maya tries to climb anything and everything she can. Last night we found her on top of the coffee table. It is amazing how fast they move in a very short amount of time. I think our eyes were off of her for only a couple of minutes. I guess we learned our lesson.
As always, we took some photos before we took her off of the table. Smile.

Last Weekend at the Lake
Friends (Kimberly, Greg, and Abygail) came out to the lake this past weekend. Maya and Abygail are close in age and get along pretty well. They played well with each other and both looked adorable in their bathing suits! Dave was able to ski which he hasn't done at all behind our boat all summer. Thanks to Greg being able to drive the boat (no, I don't drive it as I am too scared). I even got a turn skiing for the first time this summer. The weather and water were perfect. After a fun day in the sun, we had dinner at Zorbaz. I can't believe how many times we have been there in the last month and half. Dave and I both agree that we could go awhile before eating there again even if it is yummy.
Here are some pictures from this past weekend.

Charity Garage Sale Update
Per an earlier post, some girlfriends and I are having a charity garage sale this Saturday. We decided to donate the money to UNICEF, Horn of Africa. We placed the ad in the local paper as well as on Craig's list. Hopefully the weather will cooperate and we will have many people with deep pockets. If anyone has anything to donate or wants to drop by to do some shopping, please let me know!
Wish us much success!

Sleeping Update
Maya has slept through the last 3 nights - WOO HOO! As I mentioned in a previous post, I changed out her night light and we changed her bed time routine a bit. We now get her ready for bed 30 minutes or so prior to putting her down so we have time to cuddle. Not sure if it is the reason for the last 3 nights but I like to think it is helping.
I must now knock on some wood so I don't jinx it. Have a great day!

Wow...
I'm tired. More like exhausted beyond words. I think days of little sleep are finally catching up to me. Thanks goodness Dave is here and not traveling. Maya's newest thing is waking up during the night. Last night she woke up twice. We tried just letting her cry and hoped she would fall back to sleep but she doesn't. Instead she stands up in her crib and cries until one of us comes to pick her up. I have zero patience for this but Dave handles it well. Maya demands to be cuddled 10-15 minutes before going back to sleep. She doesn't fall asleep with Dave but does want to be cuddled. Does anyone have an idea as to why this is so and what we can do to stop it? Her night light burnt out so maybe that would help? Any advise is appreciated and our bodies will thank you!
We'll we are getting ready for church this morning. Hopefully the weather will clear up so we can walk. Have a good morning everyone!
