After the embassy appointment we felt that we should celebrate and go to dinner as a new family. We decided to head to the Lime Tree cafe as we received recommendations both here at home, as well as while we were in Addis. We were told they had the best chocolate cake and oatmeal raison cookies in town. Of course we sampled both as well as some carrot cake – all were amazing.
Unfortunately Makenna wasn’t up for a night out and was very fussy so we adapted by one of us eating quickly while the other entertained her, then switched so we could both eat. We asked for to go boxes for our desserts and I downed my macchiato. It was a nice night, although we had hoped to spend a bit more time together exploring the Bole area around the cafe.
